Hazara Pendant with Glass
Hazara Pendant with Glass
A Hazara pendant with an openwork, symmetrical form, crafted from brass with a warm, golden hue. The central section is shaped like a stylized shield with ornamental cutouts, giving it a lightness despite its distinct, tribal lines. The entire piece hangs on a thin, subtle chain that doesn't dominate, but rather enhances the medallion's character.
Red glass is embedded in the upper section, with two intensely blue stones below, creating a classic color contrast for the region. The colors are deep, saturated, and stand out clearly against the matte metal surface. The ornamentation around the stones is handcrafted – fine engravings and plant motifs create an impression of authenticity.
The lower section of the pendant is finished with movable chains with small leaf-shaped pendants and a geometric central element. These small details move with every movement, introducing subtle dynamics and the subtle sound of metal on metal.
The form is lighter and more utilitarian than the large, ceremonial Hazara necklaces. This is jewelry that can be worn every day, yet retains a distinct ethnic character and historical reference to the region's traditions.
