Ruby Ornament Tie

A brass Kashmiri tie constructed from interconnected segments in a slightly wavy arrangement. The rectangular modules are embossed with floral motifs and framed with red, star-cut glass. The composition leads the eye down to an openwork, triangular medallion topped with a cascade of chains with tiny bells.

The dominant red of the glass contrasts with the raw, slightly patinated surface of the metal. There's no randomness here – each segment is connected by springy elements, giving the structure flexibility and a distinctive, tribal rhythm. The whole thing moves with every body movement, emitting a subtle, metallic sound.

This piece isn't a classic necklace. It attaches to a shirt or tunic using clips located on the back of the segments. It is worn vertically down the neck, like a ceremonial tie – a decorative pin with a distinct, theatrical, and ethnic character.

Very good condition, complete construction, and functional moving parts. A distinctive piece, intended for those aware of the cultural context and aesthetics of nomads who treated jewelry as a statement – not just decoration.
