Kashmiri Emerald Triad Tie

A brass tribal tie in the form of a long, segmented ornament that fastens directly to clothing. The structure consists of rectangular modules connected by spring links, giving the piece flexibility and a distinctive, wavy design. The central section features an openwork triangular medallion set with red and green glass beads, terminating in chains with tiny bells.

The upper segments are decorated with an embossed floral motif and framed glass beads in shades of blue and red. The color scheme echoes the classic Kuchi jewelry palette – intense hues contrasting with the raw, slightly patinated metal surface. The overall design is expressive, yet deliberate – the composition maintains rhythm and symmetry.

The jewelry is not intended to be worn around the neck like a classic necklace. It is attached below the neckline, to a shirt or tunic with large openings, using metal clasps located at the back. It creates a vertical line extending to the waist, acting more like a ceremonial pin than a necklace.

Very good condition, complete construction, all moving parts functional. A piece with a strong, stage-like character – for those conscious of form and context, who know that this is not a minimalist piece, but a fragment of nomadic culture.
