Emerald Paisley Pashtun Scarf

The color of this fabric is intense, saturated, balancing between turquoise and emerald. The material shimmers slightly in the light, revealing a subtle, woven pattern in the background. This is not a flat fabric – the weave structure gives it depth and visual density.

The central part is decorated with geometric embroidery in gold thread – rhombuses, stylized flowers, and plant motifs create a rhythmic, symmetrical arrangement characteristic of Pashtun ornamentation. The embroidery is distinct, slightly raised, and contrasts well with the cool shade of the background.

The lower edge is finished with a wide, woven paisley border in shades of beige, gold, and turquoise. The teardrop motif, known from regions of Pakistan and northern India, gives the entire piece a more classic, Middle Eastern character. A close-up shows the precise, dense weave and decorative panel with a geometric medallion.

The ends are finished with long, twisted fringes in black and golden brown. The fringes are dense and distinct, emphasizing the scarf's ethnic character and giving it a dynamic, traditional look. This design works well as a large scarf, hijab, or decorative shoulder wrap.
