Kashmiri Openwork Bracelet – Wide

This wide, openwork bracelet comes from the Kashmir region and is a classic example of local, decorative and symbolic jewelry. Made of brass, it consists of several interconnected metal bands, creating a visually lightweight yet robust cuff structure.

The bracelet is adorned with rhythmic ornamentation and small colored glass inserts in shades of red, green, and blue. The central element enhances the composition and gives it a ceremonial character. The openwork form and repetitive motifs are typical of Kashmiri craftsmanship, where jewelry was intended to be visible yet comfortable to wear.

The condition is authentic to the historical item: visible abrasions, patina, and possible minor irregularities resulting from age and use. These are not defects, but rather the natural characteristics of old jewelry. Keywords: Kashmiri bracelet, openwork, wide, cuff, brass, colored glass, ethnic jewelry, antique.
