Serpentine - black jade

These black rectangular beads are crafted from natural jadeite, a deep, saturated color with a subtle, greenish-serpentine sheen. Each bead has been hand-cut and polished into a rectangle, retaining its subtly raw, mineral character. The shapes are not perfectly identical – this is the result of human handcrafting, which gives the piece its authenticity and uniqueness.

Jadeite has been a prized stone for centuries in the cultures of Asia, the Americas, and Oceania. In China, it symbolized purity, balance, and spiritual strength. In Mesoamerica, it signified contact with the ancestors. The black or dark green of jadeite combines the element of stability with profound elegance. Opaque, heavy, and cool to the touch, it conveys a sense of durability and class.

The presented string consists of beads of irregular lengths and widths – from tiny rectangles to more massive blocks. This diverse arrangement makes creating jewelry with them incredibly flexible – they work perfectly as a dominant feature in necklaces, bracelets, or as individual accents in earrings or artistic projects.

Black jadeite in this form is rare on the market – most commercial versions are perfectly crafted beads devoid of character. Here, you get a material that hasn't been stripped of its "soul" – with the stone's surface preserved, its delicate structure, and sometimes micropores, which only enhance its "raw" aesthetic.

It's an excellent choice for artists, designers, and collectors who want to work with a natural material with profound cultural significance. These beads pair beautifully with both precious metals and other natural stones – especially turquoise, carnelian, obsidian, and volcanic lava.

Each strand is a material ready for a new story – whether it's a minimalist Zen-inspired bracelet, a massive necklace for an artist, or a collectible display of minerals – it all depends on your vision. Jade doesn't ask for trends. Jade endures.
