Turkmen jewelry has a very distinctive style – massive, geometric, and clearly inspired by ancient protective symbolism. These earrings resemble an elongated amulet or small talisman. The body is made of brass, while the decorative elements and details are made of silver, creating a striking contrast between the warm, golden hue of the metal and the cooler color of the silver decorations.

The surface of the earrings is adorned with distinctive silver appliqués with a geometric texture. Such elements appeared very often in Turkmen tribal jewelry – their purpose was not only to decorate the metal but also to emphasize the wearer's prestige. The earrings' design is elongated and conical, giving the entire piece a very elegant and expressive look.

Small turquoise cabochons are set at the ends. In Central Asian cultures, turquoise was considered a stone of protection against bad luck and ensuring good luck on journeys. For this reason, it often appeared in jewelry worn close to the body.

Such earrings were created in regions inhabited by Turkmen tribes and formed part of women's everyday attire. Today, preserved examples are an interesting testament to the ancient jewelry art of the steppes – simple in form, yet very distinctive and recognizable.
