Large Pakistani Rupees 30mm
Large Pakistani Rupees 30mm
The pieces shown are classic Pakistani rupees, recognizable by the crescent moon and star, as well as Arabic calligraphy in the center of the disc. A floral wreath surrounds the denomination—a motif typical of circulation coins from the second half of the 20th century. Each coin has been repurposed by soldering a sleeve, transforming it into a pendant.
The approximately 30 mm diameter makes these pieces significantly larger and more visually dominant than standard rupees. The relief is legible, with the structure of the letters and ornament visible, although it has been worn in places due to circulation. The metal has a silver-gray hue with a natural patina—some pieces exhibit warmer, golden hues.
The sleeves are made of golden-toned brass; some pieces show traces of hand-soldering and slight tarnish at the joints. Each coin differs in relief detail, patina intensity, and degree of wear – these are authentic pieces, not modern casts styled to look old.
Their large size makes these coins perfect as a centerpiece for a necklace, a tribal belt pendant, or a dominant accent in an ethnic jewelry design. The price is for one coin, selected randomly from the available lot.
