Hazara Opera Without Stone

This long opera necklace is composed of a multi-layered tangle of brass chains, small plates, and round pendants. The design is visually light yet elaborate – the metal elements fall freely, creating a mobile, almost organic form. The whole gives the impression of jewelry that lives in motion.

Small colored glass pieces – turquoise and green – are placed on the sides, set in simple settings. This is a characteristic detail of the Hazara aesthetic: the contrast of cool glass with raw metal. The glass pieces are saturated in color, but do not dominate the composition – they are an accent, not the centerpiece.

The central pendant has an oval setting without a stone. The empty space is not a design flaw, but a trace of the item's history. Tribal jewelry was often repaired, reworked, and used for generations. The lack of insertion emphasizes the authenticity and gives the piece a raw, almost archaeological character.

The lower section culminates in a dense cascade of thin chains with small, flat pendants. Each movement produces a delicate jingle of the metal. The model has a distinctly ceremonial feel and looks best as a dominant element of the styling – not as an accessory, but as the main accent.
