Antique Taweez with Bells

An old tawez necklace with a distinctly cylindrical shape, topped with small bells suspended from chains. The amulet's body is made of a metal with a high silver content, with visible patina and natural traces of use. The surface is decorated with rhythmic rings and delicate engraving, without excessive ornamentation – simple, tribal, and functional.

The bells are not a decorative element. In nomadic tradition, they held protective significance – the sound warded off evil spirits and signaled the wearer's presence. Every movement produces a subtle, metallic and raw sound. This is jewelry that lives in motion, not on a mannequin.

The cylinder itself served as a receptacle for a rolled-up fragment of prayer, a Quranic verse, or a personal talisman. The opening end allowed for a protective text to be placed inside. This piece retains its authentic form, without modern alterations. The chain and side links show signs of age, further underlining its provenance.

The form is elongated, the proportions slender, and the construction lightweight for an amulet of this type. This is a collector's item—not mass-produced from a tourist bazaar. Authentic tribal jewelry with a history, not a marketing legend.
