Antique Pashtun septum ornaments, traditional nose rings originating from Afghanistan and the Pakistan border regions. Handcrafted from brass and decorated with small blue beads commonly used in tribal jewelry as an accessible alternative to natural stones.

The blue elements are not turquoise. They are colored beads made of early synthetic or composite material, widely used in everyday tribal adornment. Such materials were valued for their strong color and durability rather than mineral origin.

Each piece differs in size, structure, and ornamentation. Some designs are flat, others layered and three-dimensional. Natural patina, wear marks, minor losses, and hand-soldered joins are present and consistent with age and traditional craftsmanship.
