Turkmen Earrings with Gold Ornament

Turkmen earrings are among the most recognizable pieces of traditional Central Asian jewelry. Their design is based on several interconnected segments that create an elongated, decorative form typical of jewelry worn by women in Turkmen communities.

The most distinctive element is a triangular plate covered in gold and embellished with red and blue glass. The intense colors contrast with the natural shade of the silver, a typical decorative motif found in traditional jewelry from this region.

The lower section of the earrings is adorned with a row of fine chains terminating in elongated pendants. These elements move freely when worn, creating a dynamic visual effect and emphasizing the richness of the overall design.

The visible patina of the silver and traces of handiwork attest to the earrings' artisanal origins. The combination of silver, gold plating and colored glass creates a distinctive style of Turkmen jewelry, appreciated today by collectors of ethnic jewelry.
