Incomplete Afghan Pendant

Incomplete Afghan pendant consists of a large spherical body, an elongated terminal and one surviving small bell suspended from a short chain. Several loops around the main section originally held additional bells, chains or decorative elements.

The object has not survived in its complete original form. Some hanging components are missing, while the terminals and surface display damage, previous repairs and extensive signs of use. Its present condition is clearly shown in the photographs.

The metal surface retains natural patina, abrasions, discolouration and irregular traces of soldering. Its raw appearance emphasises the age of the object and its authentic tribal character.

The component can be used as a base for reconstructing an antique pendant, incorporated into an original necklace or repurposed in tribal, post-apocalyptic and assemblage jewellery. It may also appeal to collectors interested in the construction of traditional Afghan sound-producing ornaments.
