Kuchi Tribal Mosaic Glass Panel

The central element is a rectangular panel richly inlaid with tiny, colored glass beads in shades of red, green, navy blue, and deep purple. The composition has an almost geometric rhythm – larger cabochons are surrounded by a dense border of small dots of color. The entire piece is set in a metal alloy with a bright, patinated surface, showing visible traces of handiwork.

The lower edge of the panel is finished with a row of embossed rosettes and dangling chains ending in square pendants. They gently clink as they move, giving the necklace a distinctive, tribal rhythm. The elements are not perfectly even – and it is this unevenness that creates the piece's authenticity.

The chain connects the panel with metal links with a raw texture. The lenses show natural signs of wear, minor scratches, and abrasions, confirming that this isn't a contemporary mass-produced piece stylized as ethnic, but a genuine handicraft from Afghanistan.

This expressive, visually weighty model looks best as the centerpiece of an outfit. It works well with a simple fabric, a linen shirt, or a black dress, where its color and form can fully shine.
