Kuchi Flat Taweez with Tassels

The central element is a horizontal, flat, rectangular taweez, decorated with rows of fine embossing and insets of red and green glass. The colors are not accidental – in traditional Kuchi jewelry, red and green are among the most frequently used contrasts. The glass is set in simple settings, without jewelerly perfection, but with a distinct, handmade character.

The lower edge of the pendant is filled with freely hanging tassels made of chains and flat plates. The elements move independently, producing a soft, metallic sound. This is not a static decoration – this necklace lives in sync with the body's movement, and every detail responds to gestures and steps.

The chain flows into characteristic, elongated links with a cross motif, typical of products from the border region of Afghanistan and Pakistan. The design is relatively lightweight for tribal jewelry, making the necklace suitable for both occasional wear and everyday styling.

Visible abrasions, patina, and minor irregularities are a natural result of handcrafting and the passage of time. Kuchi jewelry is not created in the sterile conditions of a jewelry workshop—it is a nomadic craft, created from available materials, with an emphasis on symbolism and the presence of the protective taweez as an amulet.
