Uzbek Filigree Coin Necklace

This Uzbek necklace is crafted using the traditional filigree technique, characteristic of Central Asian crafts. Thin, twisted wires create an intricate, lace-like structure with a distinctly floral composition. A vibrant red glass is embedded in the center, surrounded by smaller stones in shades of purple and green, creating a strong, contrasting color rhythm.

The base is a zinc alloy used in local folk jewelry – a durable material that is also amenable to precise, hand-crafted craftsmanship. The natural patina emphasizes the depth of the design and gives the piece a refined, slightly darkened character. Visible soldering details and minor irregularities confirm the piece's handmade origins.

The structure consists of repeating segments with rosette motifs and geometric connectors. The central element is complemented by a suspended coin, which introduces movement and a subtle sound when moved. This is dynamic jewelry – it works with the body and light.

This model is designed to be worn high on the neck as a striking ceremonial necklace. It works well with oriental-inspired styles, stage designs, or as a counterpoint to a modern, simple wardrobe. Its elaborate filigree and multi-layered form make it a rare, collector's item with a strong cultural identity.
