Hmong Miao fabric
Hmong Miao fabric
An intensely pink ribbon with a geometric pattern inspired by Miao tribal ornamentation, ready for use in clothing and decorative projects.
The ribbon is made of cotton and decorated with machine embroidery in contrasting colors: fuchsia, white, and black. The pattern is based on rhythmic geometric motifs – squares, meanders, and stylized symbols characteristic of the aesthetics of ethnic fabrics from southern China. The ornament is repetitive and precise, which indicates workshop production rather than hand embroidery.
The fabric has a dense, fairly stiff structure, which allows it to hold its shape well after sewing. The black finish on the edges stabilizes the tape and makes it easier to sew into seams, hem edges, or apply to finished garments. The length of 5 meters allows for larger projects without the need to join shorter sections.
The tape works well as a decorative strip for jackets, bags, backpacks, ethnic vests, or stage costumes. It can also be used as a finishing element for pillows, bedspreads, or DIY projects inspired by Asian aesthetics.
Inspired by Miao culture and manufactured in China using modern machine techniques, this product is an affordable solution for designers and craftspeople looking for a distinctive ethnic accent in larger quantities.
