Afghan Bell Pendant

Afghan bell pendant consists of a large spherical body accompanied by three smaller bells suspended from short chains. As the piece moves, the individual elements strike against one another and may produce a raw, distinctive sound.

A decorative band of twisted wire surrounds the central sphere. The smaller bells feature a simple traditional construction with narrow sound openings. Brass connectors contrast with the silver-toned and naturally aged surfaces.

The object is incomplete and damaged. A large irregular opening is visible in the central body, while the smaller bells display cracks, dents and traces of previous repairs. The surface retains abrasions, discolouration and natural patina.

The pendant can be restored, incorporated into an original jewellery project or preserved in its current condition as a raw collector’s object. It is particularly suitable for tribal, post-apocalyptic, assemblage and antique jewellery reconstruction projects.
