Turkmen brass bead

This single bead was cast from brass in the traditional form typical of Turkmen jewelry. Its geometric shape and rough surface make it not only decorative but also symbolic – once worn as a sign of tribal affiliation.

In Turkmen culture, brass was an accessible yet powerful metal – associated with the earth, the sun, and the strength of the family. Beads of this type often appeared in the necklaces of female warriors, in belts, and in children's jewelry as protection against evil.

This bead is perfect as a focal point of a necklace, in bracelets with a story, as a pendant for earrings, or even as a detail on leather cords. Authentic, heavy, and full of the spirit of Central Asia.
