Large teardrop lapis lazuli coin

The coin's relief isn't a background here, but an equal element of the composition. Visible are plant motifs, animal symbols, and Arabic inscriptions, sometimes eroded by time. The metal surface has a subdued sheen, discolorations, and traces of manual intervention—no sterile jewelry smoothness.

The lapis lazuli in this version is larger and more clearly defined. The deep cobalt fades into a lighter blue in places, with small inclusions of pyrite and natural tonal transitions. The stone isn't perfectly uniform—and this is precisely what gives it its character. Each piece has a different color scheme and internal pattern.

The stone's elongated, almond-shaped shape adds dynamics to the overall design. The brass frame is soldered directly to the disc's surface, with visible traces of high temperature and irregularities at the edges. The loop is solid, double, and functional – designed for a thicker chain or strap.

The effect is strong, but not garish. The cool metal and intense blue create a contrast based on depth, not shine. Each pendant differs in the detail of the relief, patina structure, and stone arrangement.
