Coin with oval lapis lazuli - classic form

The base is made up of larger and medium-sized coins from the Afghanistan and Pakistan regions – visible floral wreaths, stars, crescents, and inscriptions in Arabic script. In some specimens, the denomination is legible, in others decorative ornamentation dominates. The relief is often well-preserved or slightly worn, indicating that the coins actually circulated before being transformed into jewelry.

The central lapis lazuli has the form of an elongated oval. The stone is natural – its color ranges from deep garnet to intense cobalt, with characteristic golden particles of pyrite and lighter, milky areas. The mineral's structure is distinct, heterogeneous, and not laboratory-finished. This is a stone with character, not a synthetic imitation.

The setting is handcrafted from a brass alloy. The frame around the stone is clearly soldered to the coin's surface – darkening and traces of burner work are visible. The pendant's earring has a simple, more substantial form with decorative embossing. The overall design retains the raw, artisanal style typical of borderland workshops.

The oval lapis lazuli gives the pendant a more classic and balanced character than a teardrop or icicle shape. This is a proportionate, harmonious variant that sits well on a chain. Each piece differs in the detail of the relief and the tone of the stone. The price is for one random pendant from the presented batch.
