Snow Obsidian Ring

A large silver ring, handmade in India, featuring natural snowflake obsidian. The stone catches the eye with its contrast of deep black and bright, irregular mineral clusters resembling snowflakes scattered across the surface of solidified lava. Each obsidian piece has a unique pattern, so no two stones are identical.

The central cabochon has a large, distinct shape and is set in a solid .925 silver setting. A delicately hammered bezel with fine embellishments gives the ring a slightly tribal character and highlights the handcrafted origins of the jewelry. An adjustable band allows for a custom size, allowing the ring to be worn comfortably on a variety of fingers.

Snowflake obsidian is formed from volcanic lava, which, as it cools, forms natural volcanic glass. Tiny mineral crystals appear within its structure, which, during crystallization, form characteristic light clusters. This contrasting pattern has fascinated people for centuries, which is why obsidian has been used to create both tools and jewelry.

The ring stands out for its large scale and expressive form. On the hand, it looks like a small sculpture made of a natural mineral. This jewelry is for those who appreciate stones with a strong character and prefer natural patterns created by nature, rather than laboratory perfection.
