Obsidian Volcanic Drop

A large silver ring, handmade in India, featuring natural black obsidian. The stone has an intensely glassy surface and a deep, almost absolute blackness that, in the light, resembles a smooth sheet of volcanic glass. The drop-shaped cabochon gives the ring a dynamic and very elegant form.

The obsidian is set in a solid 925 silver frame with a decorative, fine rim running around the stone. The cabochon is relatively high, reflecting light more effectively and highlighting the mineral's glassy depth. The ring band is adjustable, allowing it to fit almost any finger size.

Black obsidian is a natural volcanic glass formed during the rapid cooling of lava. Its intense, uniform color has fascinated various civilizations for centuries. In ancient times, it was used to craft tools, blades, and ritual mirrors, as its perfectly polished surface resembled a black mirror.

The stone's high, teardrop shape makes the ring look incredibly expressive on the hand. The smooth surface of obsidian absorbs light, creating a deep, almost hypnotic black effect. This jewelry is for those who value stones with a strong character and a mysterious, austere aesthetic.
