Large coin with green howlite

The base of each pendant is a larger coin from the Afghanistan-Pakistan region. Visible are inscriptions in Arabic script, plant motifs, stars, national symbols, and architectural reliefs. The metal surface retains its natural abrasions, dark tarnish, and traces of hand soldering – without any attempts at smoothing or re-styling.

The central stone is a howlite dyed an intense shade of green with a hint of turquoise. Distinctive, dark veining intersects the surface in irregular lines, creating a pattern reminiscent of cracked rock. Each piece has a different veining pattern and varying color saturation – from cool green to a deeper, more saturated tone.

The round cut complements the coin's form, maintaining the proportions and legibility of the relief around the stone. The howlite is set in a brass frame soldered directly to the disc's surface. The lugs are solid, often embossed or grooved, with visible traces of handiwork.

The scale is clearly larger than the small versions – the pendants have a stronger visual presence and work well as the centerpiece of a necklace. Each piece differs in the detail of the coin and the structure of the stone. The price is for one random pendant from the presented batch.
