Coin with red howlite

This pendant isn't about perfection, but rather the tension between history and color. The coin shows signs of real circulation – abrasions, micro-scratches, localized darkening, and uneven patina. The Arabic inscriptions and reliefs are partially legible, partially worn away by time, giving the piece an authentic, unadorned character.

The red howlite immediately catches the eye. The intense hue is offset by black, irregular veining, creating a natural pattern reminiscent of cracked rock. The stone is not perfectly symmetrical – the edges and setting maintain a slightly austere line, without the sterility of a jeweler.

The brass bezel was soldered directly to the coin's surface. Traces of high temperature and manual intervention are visible around the setting. The lug is sometimes double, grooved, and massive – designed more for functionality than decoration.

The end result is a strong, contrasting detail. Cool, muted metal paired with aggressive red creates a striking focal point. Each piece differs in veining, patina, and relief detail. The price is for one random pendant from the presented lot.
