Green Glass Oval Rupees

The pieces shown are Pakistani rupees with a distinctive crescent moon, star, and floral ornament. Each coin has been handcrafted into a pendant by soldering a sleeve and embedding a glass in the center.

The glass is oval, convex, and green—ranging from lighter green with visible transparency to darker, deeper shades with a slight milkiness. The mounts are made of golden-toned brass, with some pieces having a delicate copper hue.

The metal surface shows abrasions, patina, and natural signs of wear. Greenish tarnishes near the solder joints are typical of older alloys and indicate handcrafted work. Each piece varies in the shade of the glass, the detail of the relief, and the degree of wear.

These pendants are suitable for ethnic jewelry designs, tribal necklaces, dance belts, and as individual, raw accents. The price is for one coin in the lot.
